Alex: What's that major?

No comments :
Q. How did you choose your majors? Why did you choose to do a double major in Finance and Chinese?
I was always interested in languages but not really that into finance. My father is an investment banker and my mother was an accountant, so I thought that by being in the banking world, I would inevitably end up doing investment banking, accounting or auditing. However, I’ve realised that there is so much more to commerce than just investment banking and am now interested to look into client based jobs.

Q. What do you think are the advantages of studying multiple majors in your degree?
If I were working in my ideal job, I would be able to help companies deal with clients from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and many more because of my Chinese major. On top of that, having a minor in Korean will also allow me to deal with Korean clients.

Q. What are the best or most interesting aspects of your majors?
The fact that it’s so international and global, and seeing how far my major will take me in the future.

Q. What careers do you think your major(s) will lead to?
Positions in banking, teaching, corporate translation or even retail management.
