Siva: The guiding star

No comments :
Being a university student can sometimes be an uncomfortable environment to adjust to, which can add a lot of pressure. The good news, though, is that there are people and services that are there to help you. Through my experience, I found looking through the structure of the course helped a lot. I then talked to student advisers on campus, who talked to me about my different academic options. They encouraged me to mix and match subjects and majors that drew on my interests, while strengthening specific theoretical skills.

No matter what year you are in, it’s never too early to talk to people about your academic and career options. It’ll boost up your energy and give you a plan to work towards something you really want to do, instead of getting confused at the end of your degree and wondering what to do afterwards.

Talking to people in general also helps a lot! I always asked my lecturers and tutors questions and I always tried to make friends with people in my lectures and tutorials. Just try to be yourself and show your passion, and you never know, they may share the same interests as you, give you some tips or even useful advice. But honestly, don’t be afraid to make friends. After all, you can always have each other’s backs!
